Small Agency Procurement Committee
About the Small Agency Procurement Committee
The Small Agency Procurement Committee comprises Procurement Chiefs from about 90 small, independent federal agencies. The Committee members meet every other month during October through June, discussing a variety of issues of interest to the community and having various federal leaders as guest speakers. Like the "large" Chief Acquisition Officers Council, the Procurement Committee serves as:
- an effective information forum to learn what is happening in the federal acquisition arena,
- a networking opportunity so that agency Procurement Chiefs can meet each other and exchange ideas, and
- an effective liaison between the agency Procurement Chiefs and OMB, ensuring that small, independent agencies have a forum for discussing OMB guidance and reporting requirements.
Committee Membership
The committee welcomes all members of the small agency acquisition workforce . A current list of small agency Senior Procurement Executives is available at http://www.caoc.gov/index.cfm?function=agencysmall.

The next Small Agency Council Procurement Meeting, which will be held on Wednesday, March 18, from 10:00 to 12:00, at PBGC, 1200 K St., NW. At this meeting Andrew Schoenbach from OMB will be discussing the benefits and utility of the MAX website for a multitude of uses to include on-line collaboration, library of useful procurement guidance, information for sharing and using throughout other small agencies, a federal only website for keeping e-mail and phone listings of all agency POCs. This website is FISMA compliant, can be used for on-line meetings as well as agency to agency document reviews/comments. Following his presentation we will also open the floor for a discussion on procurement issues of concern to all of you at your various agencies.
