ABOUT THE SMALL AGENCY
PROCUREMENT COMMITTEE

The Small Agency Procurement Committee comprises Procurement Chiefs from about 90 small, independent federal agencies. The Committee members meet every other month during October through June, discussing a variety of issues of interest to the community and having various federal leaders as guest speakers. Like the "large" Chief Acquisition Officers Council, the Procurement Committee serves as:
- an effective information forum to learn what is happening in the federal acquisition arena,
- a networking opportunity so that agency Procurement Chiefs can meet each other and exchange ideas, and
- an effective liaison between the agency Procurement Chiefs and OMB, ensuring that small, independent agencies have a forum for discussing OMB guidance and reporting requirements.
COMMITTEE MEMBERSHIP

The committee welcomes all members of the small agency acquisition workforce . A current list of small agency Senior Procurement Executives is available at http://www.caoc.gov/index.cfm?function=agencysmall.

UPCOMING MEETINGS

The next meeting of the Small Agency Council Procurement Committee will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, April 3, 2008 at the SBA. Our honored guest is Paul Denett, Administrator of the Office of Federal Procurement Policy. Paul visited with us last year and continues to be interested in small agency issues. This is a rare opportunity to spend some quality time with him. I hope you all can attend this very special meeting!
The SBA is located at 409 Third St., SW, right next to the Federal Center SW metro station. When you come up the escalators of the metro, turn immediately right. Do not cross the street. You'll pass a Starbucks and a Potbelly's and then you'll see a revolving door. Come inside and go to the Visitor's Center on the left where you'll sign in. We'll be meeting on the 2nd floor in the Eisenhower Room. If you plan to attend, please e-mail Anna Coto at anna.coto@sba.gov so we can have a badge ready for you. If you find out at the last minute you can come, you're still welcome. We'll make a badge for you when you get here.
